Introduction

Your privacy is important to us at 181TopFloor LLC (a.k.a. "TopFloor Events"). We are the organizers behind the events. This privacy policy outlines the information practices for TopFloor Events, including the types of information we gather and track, how we use that information, and with whom we share it. The purpose of this policy is to inform you about how we handle your personal information even before we collect it.

Information Collection and Management

Personal Information

i. Information we collect

"Personally identifiable information" refers to information that can be used to identify or contact you, such as your name, email address, home or work address, or telephone number. TopFloor Events only has access to the personally identifiable information that you voluntarily provide to us. For example, we cannot determine your telephone number or address unless you provide it. We do not have access to other information on your computer.

Those who visit only public areas of the website and do not purchase tickets, goods, or services generally do not provide us with personally identifiable information.

Those who wish to join the site or purchase tickets, products, services, or sign up for our mailing list must provide enough information to enable us to process the requested transaction. This generally includes, at a minimum, personally identifiable information such as name, address, email address, and telephone number. In the future, we may establish a member section where you will provide a username and password. To ensure we cater only to adults, we also ask for your birthdate for age verification purposes.

ii. How we use the information

Your personally identifiable information is used solely to process the requested transaction. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we will provide you with special news from TopFloor Events and affiliated partners.

WE NEVER SELL OR GIVE OUT YOUR PERSONAL DATA!

TopFloor Events will never intentionally disclose any personally identifiable information to a third party unless we are legally obligated to do so (for example, in response to a subpoena or court order), or unless you waive your right to privacy (for example, by filing a lawsuit where such information is relevant). Please note that our lawyers, accountants, and/or partners are not considered "third parties" for the purpose of this section, as disclosure to them may be necessary for our business operations.

iii. Opt-out policy

Since some personal information is required for us to provide services, you cannot opt out of providing it if you wish to receive those services or participate in events. However, you can opt out of receiving promotional emails by unsubscribing from our newsletter through a simple email or an unsubscribe link at the bottom of each marketing email.

(Please note that unsubscribing applies only to marketing emails. You may still receive emails related to events you have joined.)

Interactive Data

i. Information we collect for members

If we set up a member section, TopFloor Events will offer features that allow members to communicate with each other, such as message forums, private messaging, and roommate finders ("interactive features"). Postings on these services may be backed up periodically in connection with our server maintenance and may be retained indefinitely.

ii. How we use the information

TopFloor Events does not monitor interactive features. We use posted information as the author presumably intended, meaning as public content on the website. We do not share user-submitted information with third parties. However, any information publicly posted is visible to other members and may be copied or redistributed by others. Members should exercise caution when disclosing personally identifiable information in online forums. TopFloor Events cannot be held responsible for damages resulting from such disclosures.

iii. Opt-out policy

Members must opt in (e.g., by participating in message forums) for us to collect information through interactive features.

Click-stream Data

i. Information we collect

We collect non-personally identifiable information through your browser and our servers, such as your IP address, time spent on each page, and the path you followed through the site. This is known as click-stream data.

ii. How we use the information

We use click-stream data in aggregate form to analyze trends, statistics, and usage patterns. This helps us identify areas needing improvement and adjust technical support. None of this data is reviewed at an individual level. From time to time, we may share this aggregate data with partners and third parties, but it will not include any personally identifiable information.

iii. Opt-out policy

Click-stream data is automatically generated by your browser and cannot be opted out of. However, some privacy tools may offer partial solutions, such as masking certain browser data.

Cookies

i. Information we collect

We use "cookies" to collect non-personally identifiable information. Cookies are small files sent to your browser to be stored on your system. Session cookies are deleted when your online session ends, while persistent cookies may be stored on your computer indefinitely. We use session cookies to store information like user login status, and persistent cookies to store personalized preferences to enhance your site experience. No personal information is stored in cookies.

ii. How we use the information

We use cookie data to personalize your experience and manage your online session. The information is read and stored by our server and is not logged. We do not share cookie data with third parties.

iii. Opt-out policy

You can set your browser to notify you before accepting cookies, giving you the choice to reject them. However, turning off cookies may cause certain site functions to break.
