Hey everyone!
We have some exciting news. On a couple of fronts! You won’t want to miss it.
Let’s start with the shorter of the two updates.
Recently the Stable Master took a trip to the east coast to the warm city of Fort Lauderdale and met with a venue for a tour to see if the layout was conducive to having a Horse Market. For those who don’t know, there are a few things we look for in a venue to help have a smooth and successful event. Some of the things we look for are:
- 2 Entrances. That way we can check both Stallions and Mare in simultaneously.
- Multiple Bathrooms. That way no one is standing around waiting for the 1 or two toilets.
- A separate area/room just for the Mares to go and relax with their hoods off.
- And 1 single room for play. (Multiple rooms for play does not work)
- Lastly, large enough to get enough people to make it worth it.
We are happy to say we have found a place! We are excited to start the planning process for an event. We are messaging a local group to see about borrowing some furniture as the venue is not a sex space so they don't have any furniture and we don't live there so we don't have any. We will put out some calls for furniture in the community also. We are looking for some time towards the end of April probably. Be on the lookout for more info once we finalize things with the venue and furniture stuff!
A lot of you are asking if we are coming back to Chicago, as much as we would, for now, we are not sure we will. The Stable Wrangler was about to book the venue only to learn that they will most likely not extend their lease with the building. If they decide to not renew the lease, then we have lost our home in Chicago sadly. It is not final and we will keep you informed. But if you know a venue in Chicago that would check all the items on the list above please send us an email so that we can look into it! Or, if someone wants to rent the space or maybe a bigger space in the same building, you can open up a venue space 😛
Next, we have some exciting news regarding NEW Merch!
As you might know, we recently had our 5th anniversary and we thought this is a very special occasion and it needs to be celebrated properly. For a while now the Stable Master has been working on some 5th Anniversary stuff with a bunch of great artists and today we can finally unveil it and here is some background for you about the process:
Not only does finding the right artist and the right design takes a lot of time, but, we also want it to be the best quality there is. So trying to source the best quality cotton I could for the shirts and tank tops meant a lot of buying samples from different companies, and having them shipped to feel which felt the best. The Shirt material is outstanding and we can now start the special 5th-anniversary sale as a pre-sale.
This means you would place an order for all the items you want, (Including shipping) and then around 2 weeks later, the amount sold will be counted up and produced. After it's finished, we pack it up and it will be mailed to you. We plan to keep you updated every step of the way and when we do send you your items, it will come with a tracking code so you can follow where it is. If you buy any non anniversary items with the anniversary items, they will be held and shipped all together.
Just to repeat, this is a pre-sale and the items will NOT BE sent right away!
This does means you have to wait a little bit longer but this also means we can offer a lot more variety this way. For example, Carrying many different colors means we have to order multiple of every size in every color and this way, we can make the right amount of what people want.
Now about the Artists.
There are so many great artists out there and the Stable Master wanted to create an artist spotlight for the ones he commissioned to make a design.
The idea was that the artist got all the info about the event and some photos from our filmed event and then they used their creative freedom to come up with a design in their own style that they were inspired by Horse Market. I genuinely like all the designs that were made for the anniversary sale and I think you will too.
But wait, shirts/tanks are not the only new merch. We finally have hats and beanies!
The hats will have the HM logo embroidered on the front while the beanies will have the logo as a patch on the front. These have been asked for for a while now and we finally have some for you to pre-order. All shirts can be purchased as a Tank and vice versa. Just pick the color provided and the style.

Lastly, just a reminder that we have some events coming up and we are constantly looking to draw names from the Mare lotto as Stallion tickets are purchased.
How many Mares we have depends on how many Stallions we get.
This is to have the right amount of Stallion to Mare ratio. Not too many of each nor not too little.
We list the cities we have on sale below. Just click on the city you want to get a ticket for or be a StableHand/volunteer for! If you are a vers Mare and don't want to miss the event - buy a Stallion ticket. If you get drawn simply send us an email answer that you want your ticket to be switched over from Stallion to Mare. And when you are not vers - please tell your top friends about HM - its surprising how many never heard of HM. The more Stallions come in, the better your chances in the lottery are!
