Hello everyone!

We hope you all are happy and healthy out there. Sorry for this long email, we wanted to give you some updates on monkeypox, the Sept events and the upcoming Oct events. Let's start with the most important, our health:

We are watching the MonkeyPox very closely.

As you might know, the CDC, the President, and the State & City of San Francisco all have declared a state of health emergency to gain better control of it. Vaccinations here in San Francisco have been ramped up and just the other day they had 650 shots available and had even tweeted out that there is no line and that they have some leftovers for any walk-ins. This number is only increasing it seems. That is good news for SF. It looks like it won't take TOO long to get SF vaccinated. We still have to consider those who would be traveling in to go to Horse Market and there can be a good amount who do. They may not be in an area that is as on top of Monkeypox as San Francisco is so we have to keep that in mind.

On that note, we have gotten a couple questions. First, asking if we are going to cancel more Horse Markets. At this point, our events are not canceled and we would love to keep it that way but, to be honest, that can easily change. We would love to hold off till a week before the event to sell tickets but that is not feasible sadly. There is a lot that goes into planning an event and people need to prepare ahead of time and take off work, etc… so the earlier we start the better. The next two events are still over a month away so hopefully we all have the vaccine by then.

Secondly, people have asked if we will require proof of vaccinations for monkeypox to attend. We have talked about it and we would love to have that but, at this current point in time, there is no easy way to get a record of the shot. Some people don't even get paperwork after their shot. I know here in SF the process is a little in-depth to get a record of the shot but I'm sure something will come up to make this process easier. Then, we will require proof.

We will hopefully be able to make a better decision on all of this sooner rather than later. Things can change on a whim and we will keep you updated if anything changes.

Of course, at any point, if you have a ticket and don't feel comfortable going, you can email HorseMarketsf@gmail.com and we will turn your ticket into a saved Ticket (a credit for a future event) or give you a refund.

Just be on the lookout for an update newsletter as we get closer to the September events. We all are looking forward to seeing you, but, as we always say, health is more important than a few-hour sex event.
