12/12/22
Hi everyone
As we promised in our newsletter on 12/02/22 we now have dates for our upcoming events in January! Let's get into it so you can get on with your day.
Our "home venue" in San Francisco is able to have us the following dates:
-Saturday, January 21st for a regular evening event starting at 6 pm
-Sunday January 22nd for a day event starting at noon.
The Sunday Noon event will be a Fresh Meat Horse Market. This means that we will be only accepting Mares who have never attended a Horse Market as a Mare before. This is to help the Mares who have not gone to an event before.
The ticket process is the same as always for both events. Mares can sign up for our lottery and Stallion tickets are open now and can be purchased right after registration! (Note: Any Stallion can attend the Fresh Meat Event. You don’t have to be a first timer to go as a Stallion.)
As Stallion tickets are purchased, we will then randomly draw Mares from the lottery list. This is for a couple of reasons:
- To ensure we have the right ratio of Stallions to Mares and that we don't have too many Mares for the number of Stallions we have. We will only release Mare tickets from the lottery according to the number of Stallions sold (so please Stallions get your tickets as soon as possible so that we can draw early for all willing mares. San Francisco tends to sell out so make sure you get a ticket!)
- This is also to make sure getting a Mare ticket is as fair as possible for everyone wanting to go.
We know the lottery system is not a perfect system, but we feel the benefits out weigh the cons for attending Mares.
Lastly, we like to let new people to Horse Market know of a few options for attending that they may not know about. After you sign up for the lottery to go as a Mare, it will take you to the ticket purchase page.
Once there, you have a couple of options:
- 1. You can close the page and cross your fingers you get randomly chosen in the lotto.
- 2. After registering as a Mare, if you don’t mind attending as a Stallion, you can simply purchase a Stallion ticket and plan to go as a Stallion. But, at any point, if you get chosen in the lottery, we can transfer your Stallion ticket over to a Mare ticket if you like. (Note: We have no idea which Stallion ticket holders are on the Mare lotto when drawing names. It is completely random who gets chosen and both lists are separate from one another.)
You can choose this option if you want to ensure you get to attend no matter the role. In addition, this adds more Stallions to the event which means we can then add more Mares.
- 3. On the ticket page, you may purchase a Golden Mare ticket if any are available. These are VERY limited in quantity and go fast. They cost a little more than a regular Mare ticket in exchange for bypassing the lottery. Keep in mind these are VERY limited in quantity and are first come first served.
- 4. There is always volunteering. Volunteers do get to have breaks and can have a little time as a Mare, Stallion, or even both if they like and the time permits. It may sound like it could be a lot of work but in reality it's not and it's actually fun. We promise! We have a signup button next to the ticket button. We like to fill volunteer spots with people who sign up for all 3 shifts and then move to people who sign up for 2 shifts and so on. The more shifts you can help out with the more likely you will be selected.
We know this is a lot of information but our Newsletter gets new subscribers all the time. If you would like to get a ticket to one of the events or sign up to volunteer, click one of the buttons below.
As far as other events in February and on, we are in talks with some venues and we will let you know when we have dates set so you can get tickets!
Lastly, a private note: as you may have read in the last newsletter, I, the Stable Master, am moving to Portland, Oregon come the new year. This does not change Horse Market events in any way and I will still have all my events like I normally do. If you happen to be in the San Francisco area on Dec 16th, I am having a going away party at the SF Eagle that day starting around 9 pm in conjunction with the return of the Eagle Gaymer Night. Come play some games and wish me farewell. There will be something for people to eat and the bar serves hot drinks if you want something warm to drink.
Whatever color your skin has, whatever faith you believe in, whoever you enjoy being with, no matter, if you are sporty, fit, chubby, bearish, or any other body type, if you enjoy the headspace as a nasty pup or dom dad - enjoy the holiday and stay healthy, piggy, and try to relax a bit.
We wish you a healthy, relaxing holiday season!

That's it for now. We tried to condense it and streamline it so you dont have a ton to read through to get what we want to tell you. Thanks and see you soon!
